I was born in the San Joaquin Valley of Northern California in 1978. My family and I moved to the Southern Adirondacks of New York shortly after I began elementary school and I spent the remainder of my youth in the remote Adirondacks Mountains. As an adult I bounced around the Albany Capital District until I settled down in picturesque Saratoga Springs in 2004, where I live with my long-time partner Esther, her sons John and Connor, and our daughter Anastasia.
I consider myself a self-taught artist; my only instruction is from grade school and a half dozen college classes and workshops. I have been drawing for longer than I can remember and study classical artists' techniques relentlessly. As Rembrandt is reputed to have said, "Choose only one master - Nature."
I am an active supporter of local arts programs and can often be found in attendance of the many shows hosted by non-profit arts organizations in the Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls area.
